Owaise did his orthodontic speciality training in Manchester and London; he has been working in London since 2017, where he was working towards his PhD at UCL whilst working as a clinical lecturer and honorary consultant at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute. Since being awarded his PhD, Owaise and Fyeza decided to relocate their family to North Wales to take over Greenacre Orthodontics; Owaise also works as a Consultant Orthodontist at Glan Clwyd Hospital. Outside of work, he enjoys the theatre, comedy and trying new cuisines.

Fyeza is a specialist orthodontist and has worked in London in both NHS and private settings for many years, gaining valuable practice experience. She originally did her dental training in London, then moved to Manchester to complete a Masters degree before embarking upon a doctorate at Liverpool University Hospital, where she also did her orthodontic training. In her spare time, she enjoys reading fiction, going to the theatre and socialising with friends over coffee or a nice meal.

Alison Johnson

Alison is a specialist in orthodontics with 29 years of experience. In addition to working at the practice, she also works as a Specialist in Orthodontics in the Manchester Foundation Trust, where she treats complex cases and patients with special needs alongside consultants in restorative dentistry and maxillofacial surgery.

Alison has lectured and trained multiple orthodontic postgraduate students at Manchester University, and orthodontic therapists for their professional examinations. She was a member of the orthodontic framework team for NHS Manchester, the Managed Clinical Network and the Local Dental Committee in Manchester for many years.

She is also a talented musician with Royal College of Music Grade 8 Piano and Oboe, and an ex-county champion swimmer with a PADI qualification in open-water diving. Alison enjoys sewing, knitting and reading crime novels in her spare time.

Madhavi Seshu

Madhavi is a consultant orthodontist with a specialist interest in braces for jaw surgery, missing teeth, cleft lip and palate. She liaises with specialists in Restorative dentistry , oral surgery and maxillofacial surgery to treat patients with complex multidisciplinary problems. She enjoys meeting new people and explaining complex problems in a simplistic way. Madhavi believes in evidence-based practice and in giving an honest informed opinion. She enjoys seeing different cultures around the world and visiting places with history.

Nicky is a Consultant Orthodontist at the Countess of Chester Hospital and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital where he provides complex orthodontic treatment to children and adults from across the North West of England and North Wales. He holds honorary teaching contracts with the University of Liverpool and the University of Manchester where he trains dentists wishing to become specialist orthodontists. He is a registered examiner with the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh for their Membership in Orthodontics exam, he is the national Consultant lead for the Central Committee for Hospital Dental Services of the British Dental Association and he is the Chair of Ethics and Standards within the Clinical Governance Directorate of the British Orthodontic Society. He initially qualified in Belfast then trained at Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle Dental Schools before settling in Liverpool with his family in 2012.

Keely works as our in-house Oral Surgeon. She has worked at the Countess of Chester as a Specialty Doctor in Oral Surgery since 2018, and also has many years’ experience in both NHS and private dentistry, as well as 15 years’ experience training newly qualified dentists. She qualified from Liverpool University in 2006. In her spare time, Keely is an avid runner and enjoys going to the gym and spending time with her family.

Susanne Ellis

Susanne joins Greenacre Orthodontics with 36 years’ experience in dentistry, including 20 years as an operations leader across healthcare settings, specialising in operational efficiency, strategic business planning and developing a culture of continuous improvement. She spent 12 years as Operations Director for a group of practices prior to its sale in 2023, and also works part-time as a Director at a general dental practice in Newcastle-under-Lyme. Outside of work, she enjoys the theatre, the gym and travelling.

Larni Foo

Larni is an Orthodontic Therapist at Greenacre Orthodontics. She started her career at Greenacre as a Dental Nurse before progressing to train as an Orthodontic Therapist at King’s College London, gaining her qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

She loves building relationships with her patients and supporting them throughout their orthodontic journey, helping them achieve a smile they love and can feel confident in.

Outside of work, Larni loves travelling, art, reading and anything food-related.

Hannah Hughes

I’m dedicated to providing compassionate and efficient treatment while supporting specialist orthodontists and the wider dental team to achieve excellent clinical outcomes. Recognised for a calm, professional manner, strong communication skills and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and clinical compliance.

I volunteer at my local Cylch Meithrin pre school and community beavers group regularly providing oral health and diet advice sessions to young children.

Kelly Hughes

Kelly has worked in dentistry since 1999, beginning her career as a Dental Nurse and gaining extensive experience across primary and secondary care settings.

Her career has included more than 10 years within Maxillofacial Services, alongside experience in NHS, private and specialist dental environments, and dental-nurse tutoring. This has given her broad experience in patient care, oral health and multidisciplinary working.

Kelly has additional qualifications in Oral Health Education, Dental Radiography and Orthodontic Nursing. She later qualified as an Orthodontic Therapist with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and has continued to work across both primary and secondary care in orthodontics.

She is passionate about orthodontics, patient care, oral health education and continuing professional development, and has written several professional articles published within the dental and orthodontic profession.

I began my dental nursing career in 1992 and qualified as a Dental Nurse in 1995 with the British Association of Dental Nurses. My early career was spent in general dentistry within primary care settings, where I gained extensive experience in a wide range of dental procedures and patient care.

Since 2014, I have specialised in orthodontics, a field I am passionate about and continue to enjoy. Throughout my career, I have expanded my knowledge and skills through additional qualifications in Dental Radiography. I am also PAR calibrated and hold the role of Decontamination Lead, helping to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and infection control.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of training and mentoring many dental nurses, supporting them in developing their clinical skills and professional confidence. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and helping others progress in their careers.

In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I have coordinated the ordering and management of stock, ensuring that equipment, materials, and supplies are maintained efficiently to support the smooth running of the practice.

With over 30 years of experience in dentistry, I am committed to providing excellent patient care and supporting patients throughout their treatment journey in a professional, friendly, and reassuring manner.

We are a family run specialist orthodontic practice established in 2008. Dr Owaise Sharif and Dr Fyeza Sharif are the principal orthodontists and provide a relaxed approach to treatment in a warm, caring environment. We pride ourselves on our friendly, homely atmosphere, providing treatment to the highest standards, using the latest techniques. We aim to make you feel at ease and offer a full range of orthodontic treatments using the latest techniques, including Invisalign, Lingual Braces, fixed metal and ceramic braces as well as removable and functional braces.

We are a team of three consultant orthodontists and two specialist orthodontists supported by orthodontic therapists, a dental hygientist, dental nurses and our reception/administration team. The range of clinicians at Greenacre Orthodontics means we have a comprehensive orthodontic clinical skill set spanning from the management of routine brace treatment to complex multidisciplinary brace treatments including those for cleft lip and or palate, missing teeth (hypodontia), restorative dentistry, impacted teeth, and jaw (orthognathic) surgery. We can arrange joint clinics with restorative dentists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons and other specialists, this ensures that your care is comprehensively planned.

Our practice is fully computerised with modern digital x-ray machines and intra-oral scanning facilities.

We are dedicated to the best possible result for each of our patients, and we know that understanding and cooperation are essential for the results that both the patient and orthodontist seek. We work closely with our patients to ensure this is attained in a positive and rewarding manner.

About Orthodontic Treatment

Orthodontics is a branch of dentistry which specialises in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of problems in the alignment and bite of the teeth and jaws. More than any other form of dentistry, orthodontics is a partnership between the patient/parents or guardians and the orthodontic team.

Treatment involves the use of various corrective appliances to bring the teeth and jaws into the best relationship possible and may include removable braces for very simple problems, Invisalign for discreet solutions, and fixed braces for more complex problems.
